Plant Highlights

This medium sized shrub has attractive purple blooms and is excellent for erosiion control. Attractive, fine textured foliage on the upper third of the plant. Flowers are small, purple to dark blue with yellow stamen that extend beyond the foliage in spikelike clusters several inches long from April to June. Small 3/8 inch long fruit appear after flowering.this plant attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators and is a larval host for numerous California butterflies.
