Plant Highlights

The red tubular-shaped flowers appear for the late spring/summer season. The plant is very cold tolerant and is native to Central and Southern California. It is vine-like with gracefully arching stems that will intertwine with other plants, shrubs and trees. It is drought deciduous in hot, inland areas, so place it among other shrubs that will hide its dormancy in those areas. where it does go summer dormant it is best to cut back to 6" ready for a great revival the next spring. It is a great attraction for hummingbirds when in flower.
