Plant Highlights

This Verbena has rose-pink to purple flowers and is a perennial. It tolerates seaside conditions and makes a great ground cover for undisturbed sandy coastal areas. However, it dislikes weeds and in order to have the best looking plant, weeds must be contained. This plant makes a great soil stabilizer in sandy conditions. It does best when it can enjoy a constant low level of moisture but dislikes excessive watering or excessive drought. It grows naturally throughout the Western states and can hybridize with the rarer Abronia maritima.
