Plant Highlights

This shrub is often used as an ornamental bush because of the showy white berries that last from summer through part of fall. The flowers are a pale pink and are not very showy but are still rather pretty. However, be aware that the berries are mildly toxic to humans. It is also a great choice to naturalize an informal area because it spreads fairly rapidly through roots and stems.
