Plant Highlights

Powerfully fragrant and incredibly long blooming, Alpine Cleveland Sage is also the cold-hardiest variety of its species, tolerating temperatures well below freezing. Due to its long bloom time, the Alpine variety is a particularly good addition to wildlife gardens. Use it as a screen or border shrub. The flower spikes are attractive in cut-flower arrangements. This variety was discovered growing wild on a rocky, south-facing slope of San Diego's Cuyamaca Mountains near the small town of Alpine.
