This is Susita. She lives in the village of Angel Feliz, in one of the poorest regions of the Dominican Republic. Severe poverty and deforestation have left her village vulnerable to malnutrition, flooding and disease. But with our help, Susita has hope for a better future.

Moosa Creek Nursery and Plant with Purpose have teamed up to make a difference in Susita’s life. There are several ways you can help us to help Susita. For every Plant of the Month selection purchased from one of our Retail partners Moosa Creek will donate .50 to Plant with Purpose. For every seed package purchased, Moosa Creek will donate will $.50 to Plant with Purpose. For every book purchased via the Moosa Creek Web site, we will donate 100% of our profits (about4% of the book sale) to Plant with Purpose. And finally for every plant sale of a Moosa Creek introduction, we will donate $.50 to Plant with Purpose. That money will be used to work with her community to restore farms, plant trees and create local jobs. Each purchase will plant at least 1 tree in her village and help Susita and her family lift themselves out of poverty.
