Plant Highlights

This medium sized shrub in the mallow family grows in a rounded shape with slender branches. It is covered with soft velvety grey-green leaves. This particular variety has drooping bright yellow to orange flowers with a dark calyx. The blooming season begins in the spring and will continue until the fall. Abutilon palmeri attracts hummingbirds which will help control the aphid population. Despite it's lavish flowers this plant requires minimal supplemental water and is an eye-catching addition to a drought-tolerant or desert garden.
