'Heart's Desire' is desirable, dense groundcover 6"-12" high and spreading as much as 5' across. the dark green leaves are attractive and it grows fast. Blooms are blur and darker than other Ceanothus gloriosus cultivars. It is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, but needs some partial shade and a little extra water inland.

Horticultural selection C. foliosus x C. greseus: origin = cuttings (1993) north coast Bodega Bay; intro Cal Flora Nursery 1995
