Plant Highlights

Deer Weed is a small, airy shrub, with delicate leaves and profuse bright yellow flowers in spring. You will see it growing in masses on hillsides in the chaparral, brightening the whole hillside. Deer Weed can be drought deciduous in the toughest of climates, but provides a nice, fast-growing filler under large shrubs, or mixed with other flowering natives in a bed or border. It is attractive to butterflies and also a nitrogen fixer.
