Plant Highlights

This perennial has silver foliage that sets a stunning backdrop for the blue flowers. It can take some drought, tolerates sea spray, and needs really good drainage. This is ideal for a beach or dune setting. Be ready for a flood of compliments in spring when the lupine is in full bloom.

Is this the lupine you sold to Walter Andersen's this spring? I bought two of them but I thought they were called "Desert Lupine." In any case, they grew in a pot like crazy - beautiful, lush, 4' plants. then the caterpillars got them - either white cloud or yellow sulphur caterpillars. My yard was filled with both butterflies, but the lupine are dead. If this is the lupine I bought at Andersen's, I'd like to buy more.
