Plant Highlights

This 1’h x 3’ wide perennial is a delight to the senses of both humans and pollinators! A member of the mint family, this drought tolerant summer bloomer is a favorite for butterflies. Mountain Pennroyal is fast growing and keeps a nice tidy mounding shape topped by deep purple flowers. The small leaves are intensely fragrant with an invigorating minty scent with a hint of citrus. This versatile plant looks good amongst rocks, in an herb garden, a butterfly garden or does equally well in a container in a sunny spot.
