Plant Highlights

This evergreen shrub grows naturally only on Santa Cruz Island, one of the Channel Islands of California. It grows in chaparral and woodland. The combination of red, waxy bark, bright , shiny green foliage and white, urn shaped flowers make this a great choice for a coastal garden. The flowers cover the plant in winter and attract many pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies. Island Manzanita will reach a height of 6'-12' and spread as wide as 10'
