Plant Highlights

Cleveland Penstemon combines hardiness with beauty better than most plants we know, and is one of the few California natives with a pink flower. This tough perennial handles heat, cold and wind. It grows naturally in the the inner coast ranges of Southern California and in deserts and desert edges. It grows quickly to reach an average height of 2.5 feet and a width of 2 feet. This penstemon blooms from mid-spring to mid-summer. Its strong pink blooms attract hummingbirds and make great cut flowers. Provide good drainage for best performance.
