Plant Highlights

Coyote Bush is a medium shrub growing about 5’ tall by 5’ wide. It provides year round green with no supplemental water. It is commonly found is the chaparral and is a useful plant where no supplemental water will be provided. Baccharis species provide nectar for native insects, wasps and butterflies. This plant is recommended to attract wildlife but is deer resistant. We use the white feathery inflorescences produced in December, along with Toyon leaves and berries, in our winter decorating.
