Dudleya farinosa, also known as bluff lettuce, powdery liveforever, and powdery dudleya is a striking California native succulent known for its powdery, pale green leaves often edged with vibrant red tones, especially during the dry season. Growing in coastal bluffs and rocky hillsides, this hardy “liveforever” forms a beautiful rosette of pointed leaves and produces tall flower stalks topped with clusters of yellow blooms that attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. Thriving in full sun to partial shade and very well-drained soils, Dudleya farinosa is an excellent choice for rock gardens, containers, and coastal native landscapes.
