Developed in collaboration with UC Riverside, it has consistently produced some of the highest quality native plant material in the industry. Our plant survival rates are exceptional, largely due to the sophistication and effectiveness of this system. Here are the key components:

Proprietary Planting Mixes:
We use a family of proprietary planting mixes that include naturally occurring soil microbes. Each mix is meticulously designed to mimic the plants' natural environment, ensuring optimal growth and health. These mixes enhance soil structure, nutrient availability, and plant resilience.

Beneficial Mycorrhizal Fungi:
Most plants are inoculated with beneficial mycorrhizal fungi. This symbiotic relationship enhances nutrient uptake, especially phosphorus, and improves plant growth and survivability with minimal chemical inputs. The fungi also help plants better tolerate drought and resist soil-borne diseases.

Minimal Chemical
Inputs:
We prioritize biological controls and minimize chemical inputs to maintain plant health. Chemicals are only used when absolutely necessary, such as when plant mortality is at risk or at the customer's request. This approach supports a healthier ecosystem and reduces environmental impact.

Lot Controls and Traceability:
Our lot control system provides detailed source traceability for every plant sold. This ensures that we can track the origin and growing conditions of each plant, guaranteeing quality and consistency for our customers.

Sun Exposure for Restoration Species:
Most of our restoration species are grown in full Valley Center sun. This exposure ensures that the plants are well-acclimated to local conditions and can thrive when transplanted into their natural habitats.
