Woodwardia fimbriata  known by the common name giant chain fern is native to through California into Baja California. It grows in coniferous forests and other moist wooded habitat Woodwardia fimbriata has very long  upright  arching   evergreen fronds to 6' x 4'.Woodwardia fimbriata is cultivated as an ornamental plant for traditional and native plant gardens  and in natural landscaping in a woodland setting  especially near a pond or stream   and habitat restoration projects  Plant in full to part shade  not too fussy about soil as it is adaptable. Moderate to average water. Frost tender.
