The Holly-Leaf Cherry is a large evergreen tree or shrub that is slow to establish but grows fast and sets full in the winter with ping-pong ball sized burgundy-red fruits. The white flowers are in bloom in the early to late fall and provide a beautiful turn of season. Bees and Butterflies frequent the trees in the fall and bird like its shade and fruit. The leaves are a wrinkled leathery texture o dark green and are similar to holly leaves hence the name. If pruned to a tree they can reach up to 15 ft providing shade in the early fall heat waves needing a little extra water in the late summer to fall.
