This Coreopsis is fairly uncommon and is found in coastal areas. It is intolerant of frost and does best in sandy soils. It has bright sunny yellow flowers in the spring and is found on bluffs in coastal areas. It is highly recommended for beach gardens and is wind tolerant. If planting inland it prefers part shade and to be in areas with little to no frost during the year. It also prefers well-draining soils and only needs regular water until established. Once established it only needs moderate water.
