A dense mounding shrub to 6 feet tall with a slightly wider spread. Violet buds form into medium-blue flowers in early spring  often covering the entire plant. This dense and compact form makes it useful in smaller gardens and it tolerates regular garden watering.  Suitable on dry banks and slopes  as a natural hedge or screen. Plant in full sun or light shade.  Prune back lightly each fall to keep as neat bush.
