Heuchera sanguinea called Coral Bells because of its cerise flowers can be found in the warm dry canyons of Mexico and adjacent New Mexico and Arizona.A 1-2 ft. inflorescence arises from a mound of heart-shaped leaves to bear loose clusters of small pink to red bell-shaped flowers. Bright coral-red bells hanging in a cluster. fThe dainty bells and dark green leaves make this a highly popular ornamental. Coral bells are easy to grow and blend easily with most other perennials in the landscape. Because of their low mounding habit they are often used as edging along paths or in containers. Try cutting a few of the tall flower stems for fresh bouquets.Hummingbirds are attracted to all the Heucheras.
