Rosada Coral Bells is an Alum Root hybrid (H. maxima x H. sanguinea) that is on the UC Davis Arboretum?s ?All Stars? list due to its toughness and its dependable 3 month long blooming period. Rosada has medium green leaves that can reach 4 inches across and has numerous 14 inch tall light pink flower spikes that appear in spring and keep going into summer. The foliage can reach 12 to 18 inches tall and form clumping rosettes 1 to 2 feet wide. Rosada tolerates clay well and once established infrequent water. This plant is a beautiful accent for a shade or butterfly garden along shady borders and in containers. It is particularly effective in masses. Recommended for use under oaks.
