The Saltmarsh Bulrush is a sedge like tall grass  native to coastal marshes and inland creek canyons. They are a high growing grasses that produce purple flowers  resembling pine cones. It is right at home in moist and wet soils and  is a natural habitat for birds and small mammals. These grass also do well in containers  or in ground  pond side planters.
