Pluchea odorata is a species of flowering plant in the aster family  Asteraceae. Common names include sweetscent  salt marsh fleabane and shrubby camphorweed. The plant is native to the United States and  Mexico and into South America.  It inhabits wetlands and other coastal habitats and moist inland areas  often in saline substrates. Erect annual with flat-topped clusters of pink-lavender flower heads; plant has a faint camphor fragrance.This typical brackish-marsh plant adds a flash of pink to marsh grasses at the end of the growing season. Its dense pinkish flower masses are often used in dried flower arrangements.
