One of San Diego County's rarest natives, Willowy Monardella is a delightful little mint-family perennial with pretty pink to lavender flowers and a lovely fresh fragrance. Despite its protected status in the wild, it's surprisingly easy to grow in gardens and does beautifully in containers. Water it monthly to keep it evergreen and blooming throughout the year.
