Silver Bush Lupine is a dense 3 to 5 foot tall and wide perennial with beautiful  shimmering silver leaves and intense purple flower spikes that bloom in the spring. It is a showy and fragrant plant that attracts butterflies and their larvae. This lupine needs full sun to thrive  but it will tolerate some shade. It will grow in sandy  loamy or clay soils as long as it has good drainage. It is long lived and reliable and needs little to no water once established. Caution: the seeds  leaves and stems are toxic if ingested.
